SURAJBARI PRIVATE LIMITED Surajbari is a wind power project in the state of Gujarat operating at a capacity of 10.5 MW (7 turbines of 1.5 MW each). The plant is fully commissioned in March 2008 and has been in successful operation. Surajbari is expected to generate ~26 million kWh per annum and the entire power generated is being sold to GUVNL, the state run power utility. The plant is eligible for Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) benefits created under the Kyoto Protocol. The plant is being owned and operated by Energy Infratech Pvt Ltd (“EIPL”). Asian Genco has invested in the equity of this plant through EIPL. Project Photos:
